The International Brotherhood of Magicians is a worldwide group of magic enthusiasts.  We are the largest magic group in the world.  We'll use this site to get the word out to friends of our organization and create a better sense of community among our members.  We'll also include pictures of our work and members.

 Our Mission

We are dedicated to the enhancement of magic as an art form.  To accomplish this, we hold regular meetings on the 4th Tuesday of every month.  We commence at 7:00 pm at the S. W. Pitts Hose Company, 226 Old Loudon Road, in Latham, NY.  There are also several other magician meetings throughout the month.  See the news below for more.

 THE CAPITAL MAGIC CONNECTION

  • March 31, 2024

I want to call everyone’s attention to two new items which have been added to the Calendar of Upcoming Shows and Events.  The first is the MAWNY one-day convention in buffalo the 28th of April, and the second is our annual lecture the fifth Sunday in June.  Check these out and mark you calendars accordingly.

    MORNING MAGIC GROUP

The next meeting of the morning group will be on Tuesday morning, April 2, at 8:30 am at the Ugly Rooster off exit 12 of the Northway.  Everyone is welcome.

If you need more information or directions, call Cliff Bruce, Dave McClements, or Ken Marcinowski

APRIL MEETING OF THE SAM ASSEMBLY 24

SAM Assembly 24 will meet on Tuesday, April 9, at 7:00 at S. W. Pitts Hose Company, 226 Old Loudon Road, in Latham, NY. The topic for this month is a card control teaching session.  By card control, I mean controlling a card selected by a spectator.  By teaching session, I mean participants show a pick-a-card trick using their favorite method for controlling the selected card.  Then they teach the group how to use this method of card control.

Everyone should show up with their own deck of cards, and if they do that, it should  be a fun meeting for those learning and those teaching.

Dave Lieberman has volunteered to bring the refreshments for this meeting.
